DESCRIPTION
An ART DECO Royal artillery sweetheart brooch set with old cut diamonds in Platinum and 18cy yellow gold.
This is a very superior brooch, one of the largest and largest diamond contents for the Artillery brooches, this must have been a very high ranking officer
The military brooch is designed as the Royal Artillery cap badge of a muzzle-loading cannon on ground facing left with a rammer resting against a rotating diamond set wheel.
HALLMARKS
Not Hallmarked but tests as high carat reverse and likely platinum front.

Central old cut diamond; 4mm, held in place by a pristine milligrain setting. Dia weight 0.20ct. VS 2 colour H
Further old cut diamonds; 1-2mm
Total diamond content; 1.10ct+

A beautiful subject
The brooch has the regiment's two mottos a scroll bearing UBIQUE (everywhere), resting on an Imperial (King's) crown and an elaborate scroll bearing QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT (where faith and glory lead). Both mottos, awarded in recognition of distinguished service around the world
