A Victorian diamond brooch: designed as a single bloom, the 'petals' or akin to thistle leaves pave-set with round old brilliant diamonds
Not Hallmarked but tests as 18ct minimum with the diamond most likely set in Silver or Platinum
Central old cut diamond; 6.mm, estimated total carat weight 0.85ct. Clarity Si2-3 and colour H-I in situ, there are a few very very tiny carbon flecks not seen with the naked eye but present with a 20x loupe
Further old cut Diamonds; Approx 1.5-3mm.
Total diamond weight approximately 2.85ct
Brooch diameter; 26mm
The brooch has a good functioning c clasp, there is also a region at the top with an articulated loop for which a bale can be fitted so this could be worn as a brooch or pendant
