The ring is set in 18ct yellow gold and platinum (not hallmarked but tested as such). This is an original period piece on the cusp of the Edwardian to Art deco era.
Set within the superb ring sits primarily one natural and tested parti sapphire surrounded by many fine natural and tested diamonds.
A parti sapphire is most rare, and one in which has a two tone color- throughout this primarily deep blue sapphire runs a green/yellow strike. The sapphire measures 7mm.
Surrounding the sapphire are a further 36 diamond ranging from 1-4 points.
The clarity of the diamonds is estimated at approx. Si1. The diamonds are very lively, some whiter in color, therefore cooer ranges from I- tinted.
The stones are securely held within platinum claws.
The ring head measures 20mm x 17mm.
